Certificate Programs

Note: The credits earned to complete a certificate can count towards a larger degree program, but the remainder of the degree may not be available entirely through online classes.

  • Certificate in Advanced Subsea Engineering (Graduate certificate)
    More advanced version of the Certificate in Subsea Engineering; designed to help students gain a more solid and diverse knowledge base in subsea engineering, an advanced understanding of industry best practices, and the state and federal regulations governing them.

  • Certificate in Computational Math Option (Graduate certificate)
    Created to benefit individuals who are currently employed in a field that requires mathematical analysis, and current students who are in other scientific graduate programs.

  • Certificate in Construction Management (Post-baccalaureate/graduate certificate)
    Helps students learn fundamental skills to manage construction costs, schedules, and contracts.
    (Requires completion of CNST 6305, 6310, 6320, and 6330)

  • Certificate in Corporate Entrepreneurship (Undergraduate certificate)
    Open to current UH students; becoming a recognized and valued asset within corporations, this certificate prepares students to use entrepreneurial skills in a corporate environment.
    (Requires completion of ENTR 3310 and 3312)

  • Certificate in Designing and Developing Educational Graphics (Graduate certificate)
    Helps enhance the abilities of working professionals in education or private industries to design, create, and publish educational graphics.

  • Certificate in Designing and Developing Educational Multimedia (Graduate certificate)
    Helps enhance the abilities of working professionals in education or private industries to design, create, and evaluate educational multimedia.

  • Certificate in Financial Math Option (Graduate certificate)
    Designed to prepare students with mathematical foundations for risk management in financial and energy markets.

  • Certificate in Mathematical Statistics Option (Graduate certificate)
    Designed to prepare students for work in fields which require statistical analysis- such as industry, medical fields, or engineering.

  • Certificate in Online Teaching and Learning (Graduate certificate)
    Designed to assist working professionals in education or private industries; this certificate helps enhance student's abilities to design, create, and evaluate online learning.

  • Certificate in Retailing and Consumer Science (Undergraduate certificate)
    Students can choose from various concentrations, including E-tailing and Technology Entrepreneurship, to enhance skills, extend capabilities, and prepare for job promotions.

  • Certificate in Strategic Foresight (Post-baccalaureate/graduate certificate)
