Prospective freshmen
Nearly all courses for newly enrolled U.H. freshmen take place in a traditional classroom setting. Distance education courses are designed primarily for upper-division students (juniors, seniors, and graduate students).
You will need to apply and be admitted before you can enroll in any courses. Visit the Office of Admissions website for more information.

Houston-area community colleges offer freshman- and sophomore-level courses through distance education. These courses can be transferred to U.H. and used to complete a U.H. degree.
